Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking two professional Systems Engineers to provide technical leadership in advancing offensive cyber programs to maintain US Dominance on the World Stage. Systems Engineer must have a strong background and understanding of systems engineering techniques and best practices as well as technical management processes to support the acquisition of information technology (IT) systems.

This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber Development Product Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Plans and tracks the execution of site installations.
• Coordinates and tracks the status of system installation activities performed by support contractor.
• Acts as project lead on the accomplishment of site addendums and collection and development of install documentation for assigned sites.
• Supports the Assistant Product Manager in the execution of program protection processes.
• The incumbent will spend approximately 50% of their time working tasks associated with system installation governance (e.g., drafting, coordination, and finalization of governance documents like Interconnection Security Agreements, Site Addendums).
• Provides Systems Engineering support to Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to include providing engineering inputs to lifecycle acquisition documentation, identify and resolve engineering issues, and make timely recommendations to facilitate technical decision-making
• Performs analysis, develops courses of action, and briefs recommendations to support technical and acquisition milestone decision.
• Supports engineering reviews to requirements, specification, and design documentation (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR); managing and responding to Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs)
• Elicits requirements from system users and develops Performance Based Specifications and other technical products.
• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development, and verification of IT systems.
• Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, vulnerability, susceptibility, cybersecurity, and other system characteristics to drive to operationally effective and suitable IT systems.
• Identifies organizational inefficiencies and supports process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

• The candidate must be enthusiastic and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in writing and/or reviewing requirements, specification, and design documentation (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR); managing and responding to Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs)
• Experienced in performing analysis, developing courses of action, and briefing recommendations to support technical and acquisition milestone decision.
• Experience providing Systems Engineering support to Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to include providing engineering inputs to lifecycle acquisition documentation, identify and resolve engineering issues, and make timely recommendations to facilitate technical decision-making
• Proven experience with drafting, coordination, and finalization of governance documents like Interconnection Security Agreements, Site Addendums
• The individual must be able to work in a team environment and execute tasks on-quality and on-time with little supervision.
• Strong knowledge of DoD 5000 acquisition life cyclepossess in depth knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW), Offensive Cyber Operations, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).

TS with the ability to attain an SCI

Education and Experience

• Journeyman: Bachelor of Science Degree and 3 years consecutive years of professional technical experience, 4 additional years may be substituted for degree.
• Senior: Bachelor of Science Degree and 8 years consecutive years of professional technical experience, 4 additional years may be substituted for degree

Ability to work in an office environment

15% travel required
