Adapted Recreation Fitness Instructor - Summer 2024

MSCR or Madison School & Community Recreation is Madison’s public recreation provider. We offer everything you would find in your typical community rec department in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming, arts & enrichment, adult & 50 fitness, sport leagues, outdoor pursuits and more. As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District(MMSD), we also provide afterschool and summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools.

Program Description:

All adapted fitness programs are open to individuals with disabilities ages 13 and their caregivers.

Job Description & Duties:

Plan and lead fitness programming for people with disabilities - Chair exercise, Dance & Move, Yoga.
Supervise up to one other staff working with people with disabilities.

Program Dates: 6/10/2024-8/14/2024

Work Location: Varies - MSCR East, MSCR West

Hours/week: Up to 8 hours per week.

Work hours: Various - afternoon/evening

Application Deadline: Open until filled.

Payrate: 25.00 - 25.00 /hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience teaching adult fitness.
Experience working with people with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Adult exercise certification.
