Made in TN currently operates 4 locations - a storefront at the Factory at Franklin, 12South, L&L Market, and the Nashville Farmer's Market. We are looking for a Retail Lead that would report directly to our Director of Retail Operations over the four stores. The Retail Lead would be a keyholder and learn our business and how to support all four store locations as needed with an expected 40 hours per week. Weekend availability is a must, although not necessary every weekend. This role will involve working with our customers to help them purchase items, choose gifts, and assisting with inventory merchandising to restock the stores.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for our customers, help train and communicate with other store associates as needed, assist with merchandising inventory, and more. We need responsible, reliable, and friendly person we can count on to represent our brand well.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide them with personalized assistance throughout their shopping experience.
  • Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing cashier area, including cleaning and tidying the counter, ensuring adequate supply of bags, receipts, and other cashiering materials.
  • Engage customers in meaningful conversations, offering product knowledge, recommendations, and assistance in locating desired items.
  • Assist in restocking and merchandising activities, ensuring products are attractively displayed and adequately stocked on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and provide feedback on customer preferences, popular products, and potential improvements.
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and promptly, aiming to resolve any issues to their satisfaction.
  • Uphold a thorough understanding of our gift shop's policies, promotions, and upcoming events to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, inventory counts, and security measures to ensure the safety of the store's assets.
  • Assist with inventory management and merchandising.

Qualifications:

  • Prior retail cashier experience is preferred, but we are open to enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate cash handling and pricing.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing customer needs while managing cashiering responsibilities.
  • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with using POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
