M&J is seeking experienced personnel for Construction Inspectors in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The Construction Inspectors will inspect various aspects construction activities and perform to ensure compliance with the contract provisions.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of daily construction work ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications
• Minimum testing of materials
• Review contractor submittals
• Requests for information and coordinate with the contractor
• Monitor maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT)
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Pperform field measurements of pay items and pProvide computations.
• Participate in meetings, preparing meeting minutes and follow up action items.
• And other responsibilities as warranted.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Civil, Structural, Traffic Engineering (or similar)
• 1-5 years related work experience
• Experience with Highway, Roadway, Stormwater, Site, Building, Waterway, or Shoreline Construction Improvement projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• ACI and NICET certifications required.
• OSHA certification is required.
