THE ROLE: This position assists and supports refugee clients to help them resettle and integrate into their new community. This role involves providing resources and support to help refugees achieve self-sufficiency. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintain case management for refugee clients in accordance with state and federal funded contracts Work with clients to develop strengths-based service plans to identify barriers to self-sufficiency and outline the necessary steps to overcome these barriersConnect clients with community networks and support systems to ensure their long-term integration into the community (this may include working closely with volunteers who are supporting clients)Provide transportation for clients, including scheduling medical transportation or ensuring clients understand and has access to public transportation, to attend required appointments and ensure that language access is provided at these appointmentsProvide in-home services to refugees including case management, needs assessments, cultural orientation, education, crisis support, information and referrals as needed. Keep in regular contact with active cases per contractual requirements, including home-visits, office meetings, community orientation, and phone callsMaintain organized case files, complete accurate progress notes for all services provided, submit necessary reports in a timely manner, and keep shared tracking forms up to dateCoordinate needed services through referrals to refugee service providers including the Health Department, Employment Services, Social Security, DSHS and ESL providersEnsure that clients are being served in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner and provide education and advocacy when necessaryMaintain compliance with all relevant program/department requirements, including and not limited to adhering to all record-keeping and reporting requirements.Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network.Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 2 years of office/administrative experience, with data entry experience. General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work well under pressure and work effectively in a multicultural setting, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills. General experience with Microsoft 365. Transportation: This position requires reliable transportation for business purposes, such as between work locations, community settings, and driving clients in a personal and/or agency vehicle Language Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak in English.Clearance: Standard LCSNW criminal clearance, including national sex offender, motor vehicle records, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.The Perks: We offer a full benefits package with options for medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage; employer-paid short and long-term disability, as well as life insurance.
