Role Purpose Statement

As a Cold Food Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs, your role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation within our cold food production operations. You will oversee a team of dedicated food production staff, guiding and motivating them to consistently deliver exceptional cold food items for airline catering services. Your primary objective is to uphold strict adherence to food safety protocols, while also driving efficiency and productivity in production processes.

Main Accountabilities

• Supervise and lead a team of cold food production staff, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to ensure the highest quality output.

• Monitor and enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures, to uphold LSG Sky Chefs' commitment to food safety excellence.

• Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet operational demands, optimizing resources and minimizing wastage while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality cold food items.

• Collaborate closely with other departments, such as procurement and quality control, to maintain adequate inventory levels of ingredients and uphold ingredient quality standards.

• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cold food production processes, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

• Conduct regular quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet LSG Sky Chefs' rigorous quality standards and customer specifications.

• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among the cold food production team, promoting a positive work environment conducive to high performance and employee development.

• Act as a point of contact for any issues or concerns related to cold food production, providing timely resolution and escalating matters as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required
• In addition, one to three years of related work experience required
• Problem solving and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
• Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
