Description
Purpose of this position
The Driver will provide safe and dependable transportation of LSE’s clients to and from home.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Client’s safety is top priority at all times
- Complete daily vehicle inspection, reporting any needed repairs immediately to the Transportation Director
- Pick up clients at their home and deliver to work location
- Advise clients and/or caregivers of schedule changes
- Be courteous, respectful and friendly
- Responsible for cell phone usage
- In the event of an incident complete immediate incident report
- Complete mileage and time sheets
- Complete DDA and BPS training within 90 days of employment
- Attend all required staff and driver meetings
- Sign and strictly adhere to the LSE Driver Policy
- Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director and/or CEO
Requirements
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to secure wheelchairs on buses
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass DOT physical (as required)

- Ability to define problems, gathers data, establish facts and draw conclusions, and make sound judgments, decisions and seek guidance when necessary.
- Ability to use common sense and good judgement to ensure the safety of clients and in all aspects of the job.
