We are actively seeking dynamic and team-oriented Peer Recovery Specialist to join our dedicated staff in the Salisbury area. The Peer Recovery Specialists (Peers) play a crucial part in supporting individuals undergoing addiction treatment by offering peer support, guidance, and connection to essential resources. Peers leverage lived experience with addiction and recovery to establish meaningful relationships with patients, offering encouragement and practical assistance throughout their journey to sobriety.
Qualifications:
Lived experience (defined broadly) with addiction.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and establish trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
Knowledge of addiction recovery principles, evidence-based treatment modalities, and available community resources.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Certification (e.g. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach) is required.
