Summary of Duties:
Work Environment
This job operates in a licensed adult foster care home setting. This role while based in a health care setting also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Minimum Education and Experience Level
High School Graduate or GED equivalent – Must have management experience and completed an approved direct care worker training program or have at least two years of experience working with vulnerable adults who need daily assistance, either in a home care, institutional care, community care setting or some credible volunteer program.
Training Required
CPR / First Aid – Medication Guidelines and Resident/ Recipient Rights and other training as called for in State Administrative Rule R 400.14204 including but not limited to:
Some on the job training will be provided.

Applicants must be in overall good physical health and provide results of a physical exam. Must pass background check. Will not employ violent felons / those with convictions of human exploitation or theft of any kind. (180-day probationary period)
