We are seeking a dynamic Sales Director passionate about propelling business growth. In this role, you'll spearhead our new Direct Dealer Program, focusing on expanding our presence in the window-covering retail space. This role can earn $200k or more through incremental business increases. Extensive travel is required for the first year and then 1/3 travel can be expected after.
Responsibilities:
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets.
- Determine the best initial contact method to gain traction with potential customers.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans to expand into the window-covering retail space.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements with customers.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand our market reach across the United States.
- Execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand dealer network.
- Foster and nurture strong relationships with our clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Partner with dealers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition to dealers and potential dealers.
- Understand industry-specific landscapes and trends.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities and performance.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Previous experience (5 years) as a sales or business development representative.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing successful deals.
- Strong competitive mentality with the desire to win.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
- Proven ability to positively position products against competitors.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on approach and an ability to work effectively in a team-based environment across all levels of organization.
- Proficiency using CRM software for relationship development.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
- Window treatment experience preferred.
- Construction trade sales experience, especially wood a plus.
