Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (Loureiro) has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Plainville, CT Office. The successful candidate will be working in our Front Office and will provide assistance to respective departments or management teams in the day-to-day administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Answers a multi-line phone and directs calls.
  • Assists with routine aspects of transactional processes.
  • May prepare various documents consistent with the style of the firm.
  • Format and edit letters, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Coordinate and make arrangements for conferences, meetings, and events.
  • Receives, sorts and delivers mail to employees and managers.
  • Inputs and maintains data on various Company and/or Microsoft software.
  • Works safely and abides by the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma required. Some college level coursework preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures and the operation of standard office equipment.
  • 1 – 3 years' related experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in inventorying and supply requisition.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
