Loudoun County Government is Hiring a Preschool Teacher Near Multiple Locations, VA
- Plans and provides varied, educational, and recreational activities to meet all preschool children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
- Supervises children's behaviors, communication, and involvement.
- Adheres to staff-to-student ratios.
- Follows established policies, procedures, interactions, and disciplinary issues.
- Ensures the health and safety of children in the program and performs daily health checks.
- Ensures toys and equipment are safe for children.
- Handling of food and food service items.
- Reports incidents and follows emergency protocols.
- Communicates with parents, staff, and site school personnel and participates in team meetings.
- May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.
- One-year programmatic experience, including previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Child Development Association (CDA) certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background and child protective services check.
- Must obtain certification in CPR and First Aid within 30 days of hire.
- Pass TB test within 30 days of hire and each year thereafter.
- Have or take OSHA (Bloodborne pathogens) training within 30 days of hire.
- MAT/EMAT training within 90 days of hire.
- Must annually complete a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.
