Longs Peak Animal Hospital is seeking an upbeat and motivated animal lover to join our team!
LPAH is a full-service companion animal hospital that is open six days a week, offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. Each member of our staff plays a key role in improving the lives of our patients and clients by providing quality service that is consistent, thorough, and compassionate.
Receptionists aid in coordination of care while working alongside hospital staff and veterinarians. They directly assist our clients, and also help operations run smoothly behind the scenes.
Some of the required tasks include:
- Providing a welcoming environment for all animals and humans throughout their entire hospital experience, and taking care to address clients' questions and concerns
- Performing standard reception tasks: phone operation, visitor assistance, email communications, appointment scheduling, and financial transactions
- Ensuring all medical communication and records are properly and accurately documented; organizing and auditing patient charts
- Facilitating the display and sale of pet food and supplements
The Receptionist position is comprised of many different responsibilities, requiring a person who is flexible and eager to learn. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must!
Our ideal candidate is also:
- Able to multitask efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Able to maintain focus in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Dedicated to the health and care of animals
- Willing to work some weekends and evenings
- Reliable, responsible, and willing to commit to long-term employment
- Experienced as a veterinary or other medical facility receptionist for two years (preferred, but not required)
