LLANO LOGISTICS is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Lubbock, TX

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the successful execution of recruiting, interviewing and staffing for supply chain facilities. Their primary responsibility will be to provide ongoing recruiting support for Llano Logistics, RC Taylor Distributing and USM Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement omni channel recruiting approach to achieve staffing levels

  • Collaborate with site management teams to develop specific recruiting tactics

  • Collaborate and support site HR Managers Managers on recruiting and staffing initiatives

  • Partner with HR Business Manager to determine staffing needs

  • Follow-up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting processes

  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within assigned regions

  • Establish and build connections within communities by developing relationships with local leaders and businesses

  • Research and recommend new recruiting channels for active and passive recruiting

  • Assist with job postings for open positions

  • Coordinate advertisements when necessary

  • Schedule and attend job fairs to generate applicant flow

  • Coordinate advertisement programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential applicants

  • Utilize traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, community networking events, university/college career centers, etc., to identify and attract qualified candidates

  • Provide ongoing technical support for applicant tracking system (Infor)

  • Assist in conducting interviews alongside the management team

  • Generate and implement ideas with Talent Management team to establish The United Family as an Employer of Choice

  • Determine candidate qualifications by:

    • Interviewing candidates

    • Analyzing responses

    • Verifying references

    • Comparing qualifications to job requirements

  • Assist in developing and tracking measurable facets of the recruiting and onboarding processes

  • Assist with Talent Management programs and processes as directed

  • All other duties as needed

Key Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience as a recruiter in/for high volume supply chain environment

  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred

  • Skilled in interviewing techniques

  • Prior ATS administration experience preferred (Infor)

  • Knowledgeable in state and federal laws regarding employment practices

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally

  • Ability to gain trust, respect and buy-in from all levels of the organization

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and work well with others

  • Occasional travel is required

  • Bilingual (fluent in Spanish/English) preferred

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications

  • Organized and able to multitask, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently without supervision and effectively manage time

  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
