Job Summary

This is a newly created position whose purpose is to support the pastor in her work. The administrative assistant will perform a broad range of routine administrative tasks in the Living Word office. Many of these tasks will include church-specific needs and expectations. The administrator does not need to be religious, but must be willing to learn the particular rhythms and needs of a congregation. The administrator does not need to currently have all of these skills/requirements, but a willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls and emails
• Create weekly online worship bulletin
• Develop and schedule social media posts
• Edit and send weekly email updates
• Regularly update website
• Create, print, and fold seasonal print bulletin
• Track office supply needs
• Maintain sign up sheets, forms, and surveys
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Good communication skills in person, on the phone, and by email
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of Office and Google suite
• Web design experience (html not required)
• Organization social media expertise
• Knowledge of church administration is preferred but not necessary

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
