Livestock Marketing Association is Hiring a Membership Services Coordinator Near Overland Park, KS

Job Summary

The Membership Services Coordinator for the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA) will be an integral part of the Membership Services team responsible for delivering effective and timely support to the livestock marketing industry members of LMA.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to all members and clients of LMA and contribute to the success of services and staff across the departments of LMA.
  • Coordinate the functions of LMAAuctions.com and customer service to its users. Related tasks would include, but are not limited to:
    • Promote theLMAAuctions.com service to membership.
    • Work directly with outside development firms to maximize the broadcast and viewer experience of lmaauctions.com.
    • Provide login, password recovery, and troubleshooting assistance for system users.
    • Equipment sourcing for broadcast installations.
    • Provide training for livestock auction staff.
    • Develop and release a sale calendar and other promotional communications for lmaauctions.com
    • Coordinate timely and accurate billing information for monthly broadcast fees and equipment.
    • Follow-up on past due billing of broadcast fees and equipment.
    • Evening and weekend support hours to monitor the service are required on a rotation with other team members.
  • Coordinate with other team members to deliver a weekly association newsletter to LMA members.
  • Assist in the delivery of stolen livestock alerts as an industry service to LMA members and across LMA’s public-facing media channels.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support the organization of all LMA events.
    • This may include an expectation for multi-day travel to a minimum of four offsite functions per year.
  • Support the association’s goals in developing strategic sponsorship relationships for events.
  • Support the association’s field staff in providing member onboarding support and member outreach.
  • Cross-train in other areas of membership service department work and collaborate with team members to improve processes and develop new service resources for LMA members.

  • Ability to manage organize, prioritize, and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate vehicle/possession of valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of/experience in the livestock industry is preferred but not required.

Supervisory Responsibility

There is no supervisory responsibility, and this position will report to the Vice President of Membership Services.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting and sometimes a non-office agricultural setting. A hybrid work schedule with scheduled days in LMA’s Overland Park, Kansas office would be considered following the completion of a training and onboarding period.

Physical Demands

In the office setting, this is a sedentary role and the employee in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. The employee must occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office equipment, and other employees. This employee will constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, printers, and scanners. In a non-office, agricultural setting, this job may require positioning oneself to go underneath fences, scale fences, or to move boxes and camera/video equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This job also requires the employee to be available during non-core work hours to provide after-hour and weekend technical support on a rotating schedule with fellow Membership Services team members as well as monitoring server and site functionality.

Travel

This employee may, at times, travel to an out-of-town meeting or conference. Occasional travel may be necessary to provide onsite technical support or training if remote support has been exhausted.

Required Education and Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience OR a minimum of two (2) years of college are required.
