The role you’ll contribute:

The Surgical Services Family Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of the Surgical Services Family waiting room. The coordinator will ensure the cleanliness and adequacy of the waiting room for visitors. S/he will ensure snacks are ready and available for visitors. S/he will coordinate with the families/visitors to ensure appropriate communication tools are given to the families to assist in ensuring prompt and accurate communication between families and surgeons at the appropriate time. The coordinator will work with the surgical services volunteers to ensure families are escorted to their intended destinations and appropriately supported during their wait.

• The Surgical Services Family Coordinator will oversee the surgical services waiting room for patients’ families.
• The Surgical Services Family Coordinator will ensure appropriate communication devices are distributed to families of surgical services patients.
• The Surgical Services Family Coordinator will work with the surgical services volunteers to ensure families and visitors are escorted to their desired destinations with-in the facility.
• The Surgical Services Family Coordinator will monitor and manage the cleanliness and appearance of the surgical services waiting room throughout the day.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required.
