The Technician will provide technical knowledge and expertise of Windows operating systems, and software installations while providing excellent customer service when replacing assets for users. The Technician will work with the on-site manager, who will provide a list of responsibilities/tasks on a week-to-week basis. This is a fully trainable position. Computer knowledge is required.Job Responsibilities:Migrate, repair, install, test, maintain, and upgrade computers, and network operating systems software.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.Implement and enforce network security measures.Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported problems.Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.QualificationsUS Citizen Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a T3 secret clearance (willing to sponsor the right candidate).IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A CE equivalent or higher).One (1 ) year or more of directly related experience in systems administration or a similar role.Experience with network installations and upgrades.Basic troubleshooting of printers, copiers, fax machines, and all-in-one units knowledge.Knowledge of Microsoft servers.Knowledge/experience with basic network toolsets.Preferred:Active T3 security clearance.AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers experience.Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.Team leader seeking growth into supervisory responsibility/experience.Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Security Clearance:US Citizenship is required.Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.DOD Security Clearance is required (Secret-Level minimum). A DOD Interim Security Clearance (Secret-Level minimum) is accepted until full DOD Security Clearance has been granted.Additional InformationThis opportunity is contingent upon successful award and contract negotiation which is currently in process.Link Solutions Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to include paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, company-paid long and short-term disability, life insurance, referral bonuses, relocation reimbursement program, certification reimbursement program, retirement, and more.Link Solutions, Inc. is an EOE.
