- Retrieving ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom, measuring ingredients as per the cook's instructions.
- Removing leftovers from patrons’ plates, bowls, and glasses.
- Washing dishes.
- Removing expired or spoiled ingredients from the refrigerator, and freezer.
- and Preparing and distributing food, as needed.
- Following all food health and safety regulations.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Making substitutions for food allergies and family preferences.
- Ability to assume supervisor’s duties in his/her absence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be familiar with USDA serving guidelines.
- Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of a kitchen supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related experience is required.
- A prolonged period of standing.
- Moderate lifting at times.
- Ability to pass fingerprint and background screen.
