Linda Werner & Associates, Inc. is Hiring a Public Policy Coordinator Near Washington, DC

Looking for a Public Policy Coordinator who will play a crucial role in managing and implementing the company's public policy and corporate communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare strategy memos, messaging, and collateral for targeted distribution within policy, communications, and other cross-functional partners
  • Be a representative for the company by meeting with government officials, policy makers, civil society, and industry on important policy matter and provide updates about meetings to other internal staff
  • Help facilitate communications and carryout administrative tasks related to our consultants
  • Help coordinate discussions between global, regional, functional and the U.S. policy team on issues of the greatest priority, both reactive and proactive, with a focus on how U.S. Policy can help advance our policy goals
  • Advise our teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services, and policies.
  • Support outreach to Government, Congress, non-profit organizations, and other entities
  • Partner with senior team members on a wide range of projects
  • Support the company's public policy and communications activities

Must Have Skills:

  • Excellent writing skills able to read, analyze, and write/summarize
  • Comfortable meeting with senior US government officials, and presenting findings to internal leadership
  • Research experience for certain topics on bills

Preferred Skills:

  • Capital hill or executive branch experience
  • US government experience internship
  • Tech company experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Pay: $25-30/hr

Location: Onsite Washington, D.C.

Role type: Contract 7 Month Position

Expected hours: 40 per week
