Lincoln Group Inc is Hiring a Corporate Controller Near Greenwood, CO

The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in search of a Corporate Controller to join their team! The Corporate Controller will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day management of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll transactional teams. Looking for candidates who want to join, build, and contribute to a great team!

Type of Hire: Direct Hire
Title: Corporate Controller
Location: South Denver, CO
Work Schedule: Full-time in office, Mon - Fri
Compensation: $170,000 - $175,000

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Manage tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, banking, and treasury functions.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures.
  • Coordinate the annual external audit process.
  • Support financing activities
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks facing the organization.
  • Lead ERP and other ancillary system implementations and upgrades focusing on improvements for system efficiency and internal controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in financial management with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Corporate, Big 4 public accounting, and industry experience, highly preferred.
  • Construction and/or job cost accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with general ledger, monthly close cycle, account reconciliations, financial statement preparations, accounts payable, and payroll.
