Job Title: Daycare Admin Assistant/Teacher

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our daycare team as an Admin Assistant/Teacher. This role combines administrative responsibilities with opportunities to engage directly with children in a nurturing educational environment. As an integral part of our daycare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility while also contributing to the growth and development of the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, enrollment, and medical information.
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding daycare services, enrollment procedures, and billing.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, parent-teacher meetings, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of administrative areas, including filing systems and office supplies inventory.
  • Classroom Support:
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Provide support during transitions, such as arrival and departure times, to ensure a smooth and positive experience for children and parents.
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, and other personal care tasks as needed, maintaining sensitivity and respect for each child's individual needs.
  • Child Development:
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Encourage positive behavior through modeling, redirection, and reinforcement of classroom rules and expectations.
  • Support children in developing independence and self-help skills, while also fostering a sense of belonging and community within the daycare setting.
  • Observe and document children's progress and milestones, communicating with parents and lead teachers as needed to ensure continuity of care and learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a daycare or early childhood education setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or coursework in early childhood education is a plus.
