Caregiver Essential Functions

• Preparing a care plan that addresses the client's and their loved one’s care needs and goals.
• Helping with hygiene and grooming, such as brushing teeth and hair, and assisting with incontinence care.
• Allowing and encouraging residents to do as much of their own care as possible.
• Providing transportation to appointments and other errands, as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry.
• Administering medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, according to the client's prescribed regimen.
• Assisting with physical therapy and exercise, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
• Maintaining residents’ records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Providing companionship and emotional support, including helping the client participate in social activities and providing reassurance during times of stress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• 18 years old and above
• Current CPR certification encouraged
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen
• Respectful and compassionate
• Physical endurance
• Must be able to adapt to changing conditions and circumstances
• Must be punctual and dependable, and be able to maintain a consistent schedule
