LendingTree is Hiring a Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations Near Charlotte, NC

The Position:

You absolutely love digging into website tracking details, optimizing operations processes, and planning for successful partner integrations. You daydream about implementing and operating the leanest marketing tech stack to drive business efficiency. You constantly ask questions about how to optimize marketing operations processes. Is there a better way to streamline that workflow? Do we need all these pixels? Is that in the data layer? 

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations will play a strategic role in the management of our digital marketing operations and technology stack (GA4, Adobe, Google Tag Manager). They will also optimize the data feedback loops with our paid marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, SA360, DV360, etc.). This team leader sits between Marketing, Tech and Product and is a key strategic partner in onboarding new marketing partners, curating the future marketing tech stack, and optimizing current marketing operations processes. 

The ideal candidate has a passion for data and websites, thrives in a fast-paced team environment, commits to empowering website tracking use cases, and is passionate about unlocking new marketing opportunities. You will lead a team of 2 marketing operations professionals who manage day-to-day marketing operations tasks, and act as a player/coach who helps prioritize the marketing operations backlog, perform marketing operations tasks, and collaborate with key stakeholders. You will also be the go-to expert for implementing and maintaining marketing pixels, server-to-server integrations, and best practices for our marketing platforms. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of marketing operations professionals while developing processes and frameworks that help implement business decisions and strategy development. 
  • Oversee and optimize the processes, technology and data used for marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing, Tech and Product leadership to drive website tracking strategy that brings data, insights and analytics to the forefront of decisions. 
  • Create, maintain and enforce marketing operations & tracking best practices.
  • Drive efficiencies and automation in marketing operations work, identifying process improvements, data quality enhancements and availability; work cross-functionally to drive improvements. 
  • Create a team environment where you provide ongoing coaching and feedback, foster collaboration and innovation, recognize and develop employees, and ensure employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Be proactive with asking strategic marketing operations & tracking questions, ensuring that the right questions are being answered with appropriate level of rigor and that analyses lead to clear and actionable recommendations and impactful business changes.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in marketing operations, website tracking, ad trafficking, ad operations, or a combination.
  • Expert-level marketing operations/trafficking experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Marketing Platforms Products (CM360, DV360, SA360) and experience with native environments like TikTok, Meta, Pinterest and others.
  • Expert knowledge of implementing and maintaining marketing pixels. Experience with planning and implementing server-to-server data integrations. 
  • Pragmatic. You know the 80/20 rule, and know when to boil the ocean and when not to. The solutions you develop are understandable and implementable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen. You build profit and loss models in your sleep.
  • Hands on. You roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
  • Team player - not political.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Business, or similar quantitative field.
  • Familiarity in relevant software packages such as MySQL, R, Python, DataRobot, Excel, Exchange Cube
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing projects and people both directly and indirectly
  • Experience working with digital marketing (PPC) and consumer websites. Transaction-based B2C sites preferred
  • Close coordination and knowledge/data sharing with counterparts who share goals and responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage a small team

Compensation: $130,000-$140,000 DOE

Incentive Compensation: Eligible for annual performance bonus
