Description
As part of the Leidos Health and Civil Sector, the Transportation Solutions (TS) Growth Office and Business Development (BD) team is looking for an early career resource to develop skills in business development and capture management.
This individual will utilize their understanding of the Air Traffic Management domain and relevant technologies to apply towards business growth and expansion in ATM and related domestic US and international markets. The role will involve gaining experience and receiving training in the areas of:
Pipeline Development and Market Research
Competitive Intelligence
Bid Qualification and Strategy Development
Capture Management and Proposal Development
As part of this role, this position offers the opportunity to become an active member of highly visible and strategic team. In addition to increased exposure to new customers, technologies customers, and cultures, performing in this role may offer the opportunity for involvement in performance of new programs, if desired and appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute plans for securing knowledge and understanding of the customer’s requirements, issues, and needs during the pursuit and capture phases
Play an active role in interactions with customers to assist the team in developing customer relationships and understanding
Supporting the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other marketing artifacts as assigned
Participating in the entire capture process, including proposal development and delivery, as assigned – activities include opportunity gate reviews, competitive intelligence assessments, collaboration sessions, and relevant proposal reviews
Support the development of the opportunity pipeline through the identification and qualification of new business opportunities
Supporting TS strategy development, communication and marketing activities, market analysis and competitive assessment, and partnership/teaming efforts
Support internal processes for BD operations to manage budgets, pipeline, and strategy
Increasing personal skills and awareness via self-directed training and participation in provided Leidos business development/capture training
Qualifications:
BS degree in related field of study with 2-4 years of experience OR MS degree with 2 years experience
Basic understanding of the Leidos Win Plan process
Demonstrated experience and understanding of air traffic management technologies and operations

Preferred Qualifications:
Major in Business, Marketing, STEM or related discipline
Program experience in engineering and/or program management of ATM-related programs with the FAA and/or other Air Navigation Service Providers
Knowledge and experience of US Federal Government procurement processes
Experience and/or understanding of International business and/or culture, ideally with Asia or European focus
