The Training Specialist is crucial in the success of LegitScript’s Merchant Monitoring team. This role is responsible for the training program for the Merchant Monitoring line of business including new hire and ongoing training. The Training Specialist ensures the success of Analyst team members in delivering exceptional service to customers and furthering LegitScript’s mission. Reporting directly to the Director, Merchant Monitoring and indirectly to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, the Training Specialist will drive the modernization and success of the Merchant Monitoring organization’s training program.

What You'll Do:
  • Track learner’s progression and performance through new hire training, ensuring training is on track, within expected time frame and at expected levels of proficiency.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Learning & Development, and other stakeholders to design and develop training materials, pursuing modern training approaches.
  • Create, maintain, and update training content based on program needs including continuing automation of training content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Partner with Workforce and Managers to coordinate Training Buddy scheduling, assess and communicate Training Buddy effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training and effectively reinforce training materials, concepts, and content areas.
  • Create a comfortable and friendly environment that engages the learner to ask questions and be active in their learning.
  • Break down complex information and explain clearly to a variety of audiences with various learning styles.
  • Demonstrate good communication and assessment skills to make plans, expectations, and goals clear to learners, colleagues, and managers.
  • Provide clear and effective feedback to learners.

  • Proficient in training development tools such as TalentLMS, Dialect, etc.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Open to candidates with a 4-year college degree in business, analytics, or equivalent combination of education or experience. We value practical skills, strong work ethic, and passion for learning, regardless of formal education.
  • Internet/computer savvy and proficient in applicable software and computer programs such as MacOS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the online payments or merchant monitoring industry is a plus.
