This position is responsible for writing and maintaining all of our corporate accounting policies and internal process documentation as well as for providing appropriate technical accounting interpretation on the application of GAAP. In addition, the position is responsible for SOX, compliance inquiries and vendor management requests. Essential Job Function Assist in writing and maintenance of Corporate Accounting policies and internal process documentation. Responsible for providing appropriate technical accounting interpretation on the application of GAAP for business partners across the organization. Keep current on industry accounting issues and literature to ensure companywide compliance and application. Prepare written summaries supporting accounting positions taken on significant or complex transactions. Work collaboratively with external auditors and other outside sources to ensure accounting compliance with regulators, GAAP, and SEC requirements where applicable. Manage financial accounting’s EUCs. Skills Professional, technical accounting expertise, analytical, strong verbal & written communication. Experience Prior experience working in a corporate accounting policy environment. Minimum 5 years of experience working as an accountant. Demonstrated experience in writing and maintaining corporate accounting policies and internal process documentation. Responsible for providing appropriate technical accounting interpretation on the application of GAAP. Experience providing analytical accounting support and assisting in the resolution of accounting problems. Prepared written summaries supporting accounting positions taken on significant or complex transactions. Experience with understanding and implementing accounting standards. Education & Credentials BS in Accounting or Finance. Graduate degree in Business or Finance a plus.
