Are you a seasoned L&D Professional who enjoys being creative and designing learning programs? Are you experienced in program management and evaluation ?

LBS Financial Credit Union is currently searching for a talented Learning and Development Specialist (Program Manager) to join our team working on-site in our corporate headquarters located in Westminster, CA.

What You’ll Do as Our Learning and Development Specialist

  • Engage and consult with subject matter experts and key stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth task and needs analysis to identify critical learning objectives 
  • Design and develop learning programs for in-person/virtual instructor-led classes 
  • Author and maintain learning objects such as facilitator guides, participant guides, presentations, jobs aids, e-learning courses
  • Build assessment and evaluation strategy to measure success of program 
  • Analyze learner performance and trends to be able to make recommendations for training enhancements and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring to our Team

  • Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and methodology
  • Knowledge of training evaluation principles (Reaction, Learning, Behavior and Results) 
  • Strong instructional design skills and excellent proficiency in using authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • Robust experience in creating dynamic training content using various media (i.e. video, simulation, voice-over, graphics etc.) 
  • Connoisseur of interactive and collaborate activities used in a classroom training delivery (i.e. group activities, role-playing, break-out sessions, show-and-tell presentations etc.)
  • Creative vision for structuring skill-based learning path for various functional roles 
  • Experience using and managing content within an LMS (assignments and reporting)
  • Professional and technical writing skills with high attention to detail 
  • Solid time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects/deliverables (Project management experience is a )
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to speak comfortably in front of large or small groups 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of progressive experience with designing and facilitating adult learning. 
  • Demonstrated skill in applying principles of cognitive science and adult learning to design solutions that maximize learning and/or behavioral outcomes, including enhancing motivation and increasing knowledge retention. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of types and applications of instructional methods and techniques, including discussion, self-directed learning, role playing, lecture, action learning, demonstration, and/or exercise. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and processes, including scheduling, planning, allocating resources, evaluating, and reporting. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business writing, graphical layout and design, and storyboarding. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of methods and criteria for establishing and managing collaboration among various units, for example Member Service, Information Systems, Human Resources, and Marketing. 
  • Ability to functional independently with minimal supervision, as well as working as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours occasionally including evenings and Saturdays. 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of experience working in a financial institution (bank or credit union) in a training, sales, or service role. 
  • 2 years of instructional design experience, demonstrating understanding of the ADDIE and SAM Models, and utilizing e-Learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate. 
  • 2 years of administrator experience with a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • 2 years of experience leading enterprise change management projects or enterprise-wide software rollouts. 
  • CPTD, APTD, or CPTM Certification • EQ-I 2.0, EQ 360, or Talent Smart EQ Certification. 
  • Certification or experience facilitating leadership and personal development courses from Franklin Covey, Crucial Learning, Gallup, DDI, or Center for Leadership Studies

PAY RANGE

In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the expected salary range for this position is between: 

$27.00 - $34.00

Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including their knowledge, skills, education and experience, internal equity consideration, as well as other job-related factors permitted by law.

Note: As part of our screening process, LBS Financial conducts background investigations on candidates who have been extended a contingent offer and who have agreed and authorized us to do so. This investigation will include a credit report, adult criminal history search, Social Security search, employment verifications and various Government regulatory and compliance searches like Terrorist Watch Lists etc.

LBS Financial employees must be eligible to be bonded through a fidelity bond to cover employee loss and risk.
