Overview

Are you in search of a dynamic opportunity to lead and inspire a workforce team? Look no further! Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) is hiring a Workforce Team Manager.

The Workforce Team Manager oversees a team of approximately 12 staff members, ensuring the seamless delivery of Wagner-Peyser job seeker services. This role extends beyond supervision, and also manages general communications within the office ensuring a high-quality customer service experience. As an active member of the management team, this position serves as the first line of contact for customers and addresses concerns with professionalism and efficiency. In addition, the Team Manager ensures office safety further contributing to our team’s success.

This role will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, primarily based in office, with occasional opportunities for remote work.

Responsibilities

Specifically, this position:

  • Exercises direct, first-level supervision of positions, employees, operations, and activities within the programs or location
  • Oversees Wagner-Peyser job seeker services
  • Provides oversight of discretionary grants
  • Supervises office communication, including delegation as necessary to manage various communication channels and service lines
  • Provides leadership in the implementation and management of security protocols for office operations
  • Maintains exceptional customer service as a top priority
  • Serves as an active member of the management team

We are looking for a candidate that will:

  • Have leadership, strategic development, and management skills
  • Exhibit leadership and staff supervision expertise
  • Possess strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client support
  • Demonstrate effective conflict resolution
  • Have proven experience in partnership, stakeholder relationship management, and program development
  • Use excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Oversee grant activities and maintenance, limited grant reporting may be required
  • Be familiar with Wagner-Peyser job seeker services

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

  • Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in related Social/Human Services field or performance of duties required.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory and/or leadership experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Supplemental Information

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment testing.
