LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage. The Director of Food & Beverage will oversee all Food & Beverage Outlets including Baleen Restaurant, Tiki Bar, Elements Bar, In Room Dining Service, Mini Bar and Banquets.
The Director of Food & Beverage will work closely with the Executive Chef to implement strategic food and beverage initiatives throughout the resort for hotel guests as well as local customers.
Candidate will support the Food & Beverage Managers and outlets on a daily basis to provide support and guidance as needed.

Job Summary: 

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for the management and direction for all food and beverage operations at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort

Essential Functions:

· Work closely and support the efforts of managers in all food and beverage outlets in the areas of staffing, cross training, beverage inventories, equipment, and overall support

· Will have contact with all food and beverage team members

· Oversee all food and beverage team members and managers

· Communicate and work closely with Culinary for developing menus for all food and beverage outlets

· Communicate and work closely with Sales, Catering and Banquets regarding outside groups and events

· Communicate and work closely with Accounting in the development of budgets, forecasts, POS, daily reporting and special projects

· Develop team training to include food handlers training/certification, customer service training, food service training, responsible vendor training, and safety/HAT committee training

· Work closely with suppliers and vendors, building and upholding good relationships

· Be a proactive member of management team, generating and sharing ideas on improved food and beverage operations, cost efficiencies, projects and programs

· Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training all new food and beverage team

· Provide leadership for effective operations of all food and beverage related operations

· Ensure proper food preparation, quality and presentation of menu items including menu development

· Develop short and long range goals for hotel’s food and beverage operations

· Develop and submit all budgets requires for food and beverage for approval

· Maintain cost and labor controls to ensure maximum food and beverage profits

· Analyze costs, inventories, monthly financial statements and competitive operations

· Develop and submit policies related to department for approval and implement approved policies and procedures

· Attend all team and managers meetings

· Ensure facilities are maintained and establish standards that the team and guests uphold the integrity of these facilities

· Preserve, protect and maintain the assets of the hotel

· Provide monthly and quarterly reports to the Area Managing Director

· Review and submit payroll for food and beverage team ensuring tips are paid out correctly

· Handle guest opportunities on first impact and ensure that all guests have an experience up to Noble House Hotels standards

Secondary Functions:

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant management

· 5 years experience in a Director of Food and Beverage role 

· Experience in luxury hotels or fine dining 

· Leadership skills

· Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding

· Attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
