Join Lantech as a 1st Shift Fabricator in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunities, quarterly profitability bonuses, and TONS of opportunities for advancement.

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

As a Fabricator of the Decimal team, you will contribute to creating quality fabricated machine parts every day. This work plays a critical role in supplying the components used by Lantech's assembly departments to construct Lantech's stretch wrapping machinery, which is used around the world to move essential goods securely and efficiently.

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

As a Fabricator at Lantech you will:

  • Do the MIG welding of mild steel to produce standard parts with the aid of fixtures in addition to non-standard fabrications without the aid of a fixture.
  • Use measuring tools related to welding to perform fabrication and inspection processes to ensure work conforms to the specifications given.
  • Will also require sawing, drilling, and tapping of raw material.
  • Maneuver equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is able to read blueprints and perform layouts.
  • Has manual dexterity to maneuver equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Is willing/able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature.
  • Is detail-oriented and able to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
  • Is able to successfully complete the Fabricator assessment.
  • Is authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Is able to stand for 9-10 hours per day.
  • Is able to pass a pre-employment physical demand screen (includes a work simulation; lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience required.
  • Previous experience reading blueprints is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus).
