Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Description

BASIC FUNCTION

Fabricate parts and components using various equipment, paint components, material handling, and general housekeeping.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Read and understand blueprints and sketches (1st Class only).
  2. Layout work required for the fabrication of tank parts and components (1st Class only).
  3. Material handling using overhead cranes, trucks, or forklifts.
  4. Operate machinery to fabricate tank parts and components.
  5. General housekeeping.

EDUCATION, Experience, and TRAINING

High school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

language and mathematical skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, sketches, shipping lists, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with team supervisor and other team members.

Basic skills: Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to perform layout work (1st Class only). Ability to satisfactorily pass practical tests to assess proficiency in the operation of one or more of the following pieces of equipment (1st Class only). (1) Hydraulic Press, (2) Brake Press, (3) Plate Rolls and/or (4) Burning Machines (not numerically controlled). Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift (1st or 2nd Class).
