Summary

Landmark Global is seeking to develop exceptional thinkers and creative problem-solvers into future leaders of our company. Upon joining our Operations Management team, you will be expected to produce measurable operational improvements. Your creative ideas will be in demand, beginning with your work to develop and execute a plan to improve the productivity, organization, and accuracy of parcel shipping and fulfilment activities in our Buffalo, NY facility. A successful candidate must have the capacity to quickly assume leadership responsibilities, including managing and developing a team of supervisors, leads, and several dozen employees. A background in operations management and team leadership is a core requirement.

Our Warehouse Operations Managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, and are entrusted to take ownership over all aspects of their facility. They are held accountable for developing their teams, managing individual and collective performance, and ensuring that both productivity and customer service quality are maximized. And they are expected to have fun doing it!

Job Description

Core responsibilities will include the following areas:

  • Develop plans, policies, and process improvements that reduce operating costs and/or improve service. Maximize the company’s return on labor spend.
  • Direct and develop a team of subordinates who keep the day-to-day parcel shipping and fulfilment operations functioning smoothly.
  • Learn and perform all warehouse processes as needed.
  • Problem solve, communicate effectively, and lead by example.
  • Provide feedback to management on strengths and developmental needs of the operations team.
  • Set and enforce operating standards, including stringent controls to prevent inventory shrinkage.
  • Recommend acquisition of new equipment or property in order to increase operational efficiency.
  • Engage in direct communication with other departments, staff and clients.
  • Maintain speedy and accurate performance for all US to Canada and US to International cross-border functions.
  • Maintain optimal physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Oversee the planned maintenance of building and equipment.
  • Adhere to strict safety and security regulations as well as compliance with all TSA regulations under the IAC program.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a high degree of organization. Must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of different audiences: subordinates, peers, members of senior management, and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrated success meeting deadlines, coping well with change, and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Proven track record motivating and engaging a team to produce the best results possible.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, often with limited direction.
  • 5 - 8 years of leadership experience in an operational environment
  • International parcel shipping experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, or similar preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally, sometimes on short notice, to destinations in both the USA and Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
  • Multi-lingual proficiency (Spanish) a plus

Position Pay Range

  • $80,000 to $95,000 per year based on experience and other factors.
  • Position eligible for annual bonus plan based on a percentage of annual salary.
