Persistence Prep, a new K-8 charter school in Buffalo, invites passionate and committed educators to apply to the position of Operations Associate. Persistence Prep is founded on the belief that all students, regardless of race, disability, home language, socioeconomic status, or zip code can learn and achieve at high levels when held to the highest expectations. It is our mission to ensure that all students are firmly on the path to succeed within a four-year college and create positive change within their communities.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Persistence Prep will serve scholars in grades K-7 (two classes at each grade level). Persistence Prep will add a grade level each year until we are a fully enrolled K-8 charter school. We are looking for high capacity, energetic, detail oriented, and dedicated individuals to join our team.
Job Summary
The Operations Fellow is responsible for supporting the operations and communications of Persistence Prep. Working collaboratively with the Director of Operations, the operations fellow is responsible for managing school-wide communications and maintaining operational, purchasing, and data systems to ensure teachers and students have what they need to focus all their energy on teaching and learning.
Essential Functions
· Uphold the mission and vision of the school every second of the day.
· Implement and enhance the school’s systems and culture.
· Assist the Operations Team with student recruitment, community engagement, and enrollment.
· Help execute logistics and preparations for school events and activities.
· Assist the Operations team with transportation requests and changes.
· Assist classroom teachers with essential tasks for instructional planning and maintenance of physical space.
· Collaborate with the Operations Team on facility walkthroughs and maintenance.
· Complete all duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications
· Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
· Prior experience working in a school preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree required.
· Bilingual (written and spoken) preferred
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively under stressful working conditions
