ACCOUNTING LEAD

ROLE:

The Accounting Lead will manage the day-to-day accounting function for our multi-state company in our SODO office. Working closely with President, PM’s & Operations to improve process & procedures to increase efficiencies and overall accuracy of data. Role requires ability to think on your feet, juggle multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and have a positive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize ADP to process weekly payroll for approximately 30 employees.
• Oversee employee health benefits and 401k plans, coordinate with outside agencies, and stay up to date on payroll-related tax regulations for both locations.
• Work with project managers to issue SOVs, pay applications, certificate of insurance and lien releases, analyze contracts, and collect outstanding receivables.
• Responsible for processing A/R, A/P, and Purchase Orders.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolving any discrepancies with customers, third party partners, and vendors.
• Prepare journal entries for depreciation inter-company transactions, accrued transactions, and entry corrections.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting controls, policies, and practices.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in the areas mentioned above, having successfully performed lead accounting duties for 3-5 years.
• GAAP proficient with the ability to generate accurate and timely financial statements, WIP schedules, management reports, and budgets.
• Solid understanding of job costing and a history of identifying cost saving opportunities.
• Strong customer first attitude
• Punctual with exceptional organization and administrative skills
• High level of initiative and a desire and ability to grow and learn quickly
• Experience with Foundation accounting software and ADP Workforce Now a plus
• Ability to work independently and with a team

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

Must have full charge / full cycle accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
