Lam Dermatology and Associates in Edmond is seeking a full-time medical assistant. We treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions including medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology. Experience in Dermatology and scribing is preferred but not required.

Essential responsibilities: ability to triage and assess patients; strong interpersonal skills; basic knowledge of nursing; the ability to solve problems; excellent technical skills; time management skills, excellent communication skills; be multi-task oriented and work at a fast pace; and the ability to be flexible and operate as a member of a team.

Medical assistant duties include: reviewing charts; prepping patients for in office procedures and/or surgery; removing sutures; assisting with surgical procedures; preparing for cosmetic injections; keeping inventory of supplies; prepping patients for laser treatments; e-prescribe; prescription refills and logging pathology results.

Administrative functions include: completing appropriate forms and treatment instructions for patients; educate patients regarding their prescribed pre and post-operative treatment; maintain proper upkeep and cleanliness of exam rooms; handle patient phone calls regarding questions and concerns; and abide by the patient confidentiality policy.
