Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, corporate finance, and financial acumen.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any financial issues
- Provide support during external audits
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles and securities laws
- Experience with private equity transactions is a plus
- Solid understanding of accrual accounting
