Description:

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial responsibilities of the Finance Department by assisting in the preparation and review of account analyses and working on projects related to data reporting. This position is key in supporting accounting operations and their customers by providing, periodic financial and accounting reports to internal and external parties.

Essential duties:

• Assist in monthly financial close process Including reviews, analyses, and distribution of internal and external financial information.

• Prepares Journal Entries.

• Prepares and reviews account analysis.

• Assists in month end close process.

• Assists in all audit processes.

• Retrieves and sets reports from support systems (i.e. SMS, EPIC)

• Data mines from HPM.

• Assists in setting reports and forms in Planning.

• Works on projects related to data and process improvement.

• All Other duties as assigned.

Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:

A bachelor’s degree in in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Prior healthcare or comparable experience preferred.

Skill Requirements:

Must possess knowledge of General Accounting Procedures and be a self-motivating individual, focused on review, audit, customer service and education of customers in financial management, process and policy. Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook are necessary tools in day-to-day business so the stronger the knowledge the better.

Machines/Tools & Equipment:

Infor Cloud Suite, Essbase, LBI, HPM, SMS, IDX, Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
