Lakeside Neurologic, located in beautiful central Florida, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Risk Manager. The facility is located on 900 acres just outside of Wauchula, Florida. Lakeside Neurologic treats pediatric and adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. Our facility provides treatment ranging from Pediatric to Adult Behavioral Health Care.The facility is licensed by AHCA & DCF and is accredited by CARF and The Joint Commission.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains comprehensive social services and risk management, complaints, grievances and investigations for SF III TLF, LLC dba Lakeside Neurologic.
• Conduct internal complaints, grievances and investigations in a thorough timely manner. Compile reports to track and trend findings for AHCA, CARF, JC and DCF.
• Work closely with all external agencies to ensure investigations are done in a timely manner. Compile data for pro-active risk assessments, root cause analysis and sentinel events.
• Conduct Risk Management Training, Prevention of Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation and Misappropriation Training for new hires and veteran staff.
• Conduct daily rounds of facility to minimize safety risks, meet with clients and or family members related to complaints and grievances.
• Will participate in on site agency surveys and loss control inspections and surveys.

Qualifications:

• BS or BA degree in social work or in a human services field including sociology, special education, criminal justice, rehabilitation counseling and psychology.
• Two to five years of experience in investigations or social work in the public, facility or health care setting, working directly with the pediatric and adult population.
• Experience and knowledge of AHCA, DCF, CARF, and JCAHO standards preferred.
• Must be a self-starter and have great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Hours are primarily, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., however some after hour, call outs and weekend hours will be required. On call 24/7 must be available or have approved delegate coverage.
