Position: Maintenance Technician – Multifamily Apartment Complex
Location: On-site at 2974 Coppercreek Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63136
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Shift: TBD
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is a vital member of the property management team, responsible for conducting repairs, addressing work orders, and overseeing grounds maintenance to ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of the property. This role plays a key part in providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Work Order Execution:
● Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests from residents and staff.
● Diagnose issues, assess repair needs, and perform repairs on various systems, appliances, and fixtures.
● Document work performed and maintain accurate records of completed tasks.
Repairs and Maintenance:
● Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
● Inspect and maintain building systems and equipment to ensure their optimal functioning.
● Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors on larger repair projects.
Grounds Maintenance:
● Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the property's outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and common areas.
● Plant, prune, and water plants and trees, and ensure the proper disposal of yard waste.
● Assist with snow removal during winter months, including shoveling walkways and salting icy surfaces.
● Operate snow removal equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
● HVAC Certified and recent experience
● Proven experience in Property Maintenance or similar role, with a focus on multifamily properties.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
● Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
● Knowledge of local housing regulations, safety regulations, and property management best practices.
● Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
