Base Starting Rate - $21.53/Hour
Calendar - 10 Month (179 work days at 7.5 hours/day and 11 or 12 paid holidays, from mid-August through the 1st week of June. Plus 80 hours before the start of the school year or after the end of the year)
Reimbursement - up to $1300 annually for tuition reimbursement
Insurance - 100% district paid Single HMO Health (other options also available)
Retirement - IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) - the district pays the full district premium, employees pay the 4.5% employee contribution
Description The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Directors (2), as well as manages the scheduling and coordination of all athletic events, transportation, workers and officials. Education, Experience, and Licensure
High School Diploma or equivalent
Clerical and secretarial experience - preferred
Experience with office and school-based management systems - preferred

Essential Functions
Manages daily operations of athletic event scheduling
Develops and maintains all sports schedules and IHSA contracts
Handles the coordination of game transportation for athletic teams and activity clubs
Coordinates invoice processing for transportation services
Communicates with each program Head Coach to schedule season contest calendar to manage IHSA contest limitations
Coordinates LFHS Tournaments with coaches, athletic staff and opposing schools
Handles the communication and verification of schedules to each sport assignors, handles verification and payment to all officials and provides detailed report to the business office
Recruit and schedule all athletic event workers
Handles the communication and coordination of details for all seasonal sports brochures
Handles the communication to LFHS Boosters for concession stand needs
Attends North Suburban Conference monthly meetings and assists with minutes and agendas
Manages the Athletic Master Calendar and communicates with all stakeholders
Handles the rental and billing for athletic areas, including, Facility Use Agreements, and Insurance
Assist with department deposits, team/coaches check reimbursements, invoice processing
Assist with Community Education Programs - webstore setup, reporting, registrations
Assists with School Groups/Auctions for promotion and redemption of athletic offerings
Schedules in-house use of Athletic facilities for non-athletic purposes (testing, blood drives, boat races, etc.)
Coordinates the distribution and collection of all athletic keys/fobs. Maintains the master list in conjunction with the director of Safety and Security.
Performs other job related duties as assigned by direct supervisor
Adheres to Board of Education policies and procedures
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach,grasp, feel, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift. Repetitive motions are required. The employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds or more of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and is subject to loud noises, extreme heat, extreme cold, humidity, fumes, odors, dust, and hazards associated with moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
