Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing expense reports, and reconciling vendor statements. The role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial concepts.
Duties:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Verify discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting
- Knowledge of tax procedures and regulations
- Understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with technical accounting terms and processes
- Ability to handle payroll-related tasks is a plus
- Experience with Workday or other ERP systems is advantageous
