Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Host/Hostess to join our team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and assist with various tasks to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Responsibilities:

- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival

- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart

- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus

- Assist in answering phone calls and taking reservations

- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service

- Monitor dining areas for seating availability, cleanliness, and adherence to safety regulations

- Provide accurate wait times and estimate wait times for guests

- Assist in setting up dining areas for service, including table setup and arrangement

- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly

- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, promotions, and restaurant policies

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast) is a plus

- Experience with Open Table is a great addition

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds

- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.27 - $14.22 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
