La Petite Academy promises to provide efficient quality care to every child in our care. We strive to grow a child academically, socially, and physically while maintaining their safety and well-being. La Petite is looking for teachers who are dedicated to maintaining that promise. Our daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the lead teacher with appropriate activities and lessons for children in accordance with the curriculum guidelines
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Maintain licensing and accreditation standards for the state of Maryland by following proper policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations by conducting assessments to track the progress of each child and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and social-emotional development
- Help Implement behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors
Skills:
- Experience in early childhood education or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using learning technology tools to enhance teaching and engage students
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Ability to effectively take criticism and learn from your mistakes
- Interest in loving children and helping them grow
- Understanding and exhibiting positive guidance strategies
Requirements:
-Attain a 3-hour aide certification or willing to complete within 30days upon hire
-Have an ADA, Basic Health and Safety, Breastfeeding, 9-hour communication, and CPR Certification or willing to complete within 30 days upon hire.
-Be willing to continue Maryland State COK hours
-Interest in growing as a childcare professional
