Position Overview:

As a Prep Cook at KYU, your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals according to our standard recipes. You'll be an integral part of our kitchen team, ensuring the prep station is well-organized, inventory is stocked, and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, contributing to our customers' satisfaction and the growth of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock the preparation station.
• Prepare various components of menu items, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Follow instructions provided by the executive chef.
• Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in prep areas and handle leftovers appropriately.
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to cook menu items.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Profound knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Team player who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in busy restaurants is a plus.
