Kured is the first quick-service charcuterie and sandwich concept located in Beacon Hill (think Sweetgreen or Chipotle, but for charcuterie boards.) Kured's goal is to make charcuterie more accessible and power conversation among our customers.

As we expand to new markets , we’re looking for a general manager to join our Kured family and oversee our Boston operation. This starts with our flagship store in Beacon Hill, and eventually will include oversight to other Boston locations as we expand. Our general managers are the heart of our business, not only at the store level but community-wide in Boston. The ideal candidate leads enthusiastically, is a great community ambassador, skilled people developer, entrepreneurial, great at multitasking and priority management, has high personal standards, and is warm and genuine. As a startup, your work will be instrumental to both daily operations and long-term growth across the Boston restaurant ecosystem. Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and be a role model for the standards consistent with Kured’s core values (i.e openness, empowering authenticity, facilitating conversation, supporting artists & farmers.)
• Ensures our stores are optimally staffed with talented staff at all levels (shift leaders, prep cooks and associates). If not, actively recruits, trains, coaches, motivates and develops staff properly.
• Ensure our store is adequately staffed and scheduled
• Demonstrates exceptional people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop hourly team members by giving timely, honest and ongoing coaching and feedback through one on ones and performance appraisals.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills. Is able to diagnose and fix issues that arise at the field level with a focus on store performance issues to ensure most pressing issues are addressed first.
• Monitors and manages the business through analysis of metrics and trends across Kured stores. Uses data to close gaps between actual performance and company guardrails
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Maintain exceptional food safety and security standards
• Contribute ideas, thoughts and solutions that result in increased productivity, higher retention and improved operations

Requirements

• 2 years of food-service experience in a management position
• Experience at a quick service restaurant is a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience with hiring and training
• Experience with scheduling
• Experience with conflict resolution
• Experience with ordering is a plus, but not a requirement
• Understanding of a store level PnL
• Experience with meeting sales and cost targets is a plus, but not a requirement
• A passion for food and restaurant operations
• Ability to work well under pressure in a feedback-oriented, fast paced, ever changing work environment
• A can-do work ethic and ability to take initiative as a leader
• High attention to detail and well-versed in communication

Hours & Salary:

• 40 hours per week, including a combination of at least 30 hours in the store and remote work
• $55,000-$80,000 per year depending on experience
• % bonus depending on meeting store goals for sales and costs
• % equity in the entire Kured company (think about if you got equity in Sweetgreen or Chipotle when they had one single location)
