Key Responsibilities & Priorities

• Squad Leadership: managing multiple teams of Kubrick consultants trained in the following practices: Analytics Engineering, Data Management & Machine Learning:

o Help identify, translate, and prioritise business requirements.

o Run Agile teams sprints.

o Oversee/facilitate delivery of high-quality work.

o Be main point of onsite contact for engagement with client stakeholders/wider team.

o Track and communicate progress, risks, blockers to Kubrick and the Client.

o Support and mentor consultants as they develop in experience and confidence.

o Educate business stakeholders on deliverables.

• Support to Pre Sales – if client commitments allow, supporting the US Client team during client calls and other pre-sales/wider business development activities:

o Helping to scope requirements.

o Running workshops where appropriate.

o Contributing to the development of squad proposals.

• Delivery of Kubrick Accelerators – take ownership over running US Kubrick Accelerators
• Technical Delivery of engagement with a focus on:

o Data Science

o Data Analytics

Each engagement will have its own clear statement of work and deliverables attached to it. KA consultants will be, in part, responsible for helping scope these SOWs and ensuring adherence to them.

Other responsibilities:

• Capability development:

o Design capability plans for core Data Science skills; take the lead in identifying new analytical techniques.

o Work with in-house training team to feed client data science needs into training.

• Consultant development:

o Help manage the Data Team, support projects (where appropriate) and be a key stakeholder in their upskilling.

o Interview preparation and mentoring.

• Kubrick advocate:

o Brand ambassador for Kubrick when dealing with clients.

o Willingness to take on responsibilities at short notice which might sit outside of normal remit. (e.g. supporting training, CRM activities, company-wide initiatives).

What are we looking for?

• 3 years of experience in a data science or advanced analytics role
• Strong understanding of Probability and Statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, statistical inference, regression, forecasting).
• Deep foundational knowledge of Machine Learning approaches (both Supervised and Unsupervised Learning) and algorithms from classical approaches such as Linear models, Decision Trees and Ensembles, to modern neural networks such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks and Transformers.
• Strong Python and OOP skills with experience in using libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn and Gradient Boosting libraries (XGBoost/LightGBM/CatBoost) for training and managing ML models.
• Experience in using Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and familiarity with HuggingFace ecosystem for applications in NLP or Computer Vision
• Experience taking a consultative approach to project delivery.
• Familiarity with modern cloud compute infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Very good at working with ambiguous project requirements and working with non-technical stakeholders to define accurate project briefs.
• Very comfortable communicating complex concepts to non-technical clients, as well as working in multi-disciplinary squads (e.g., Data Engineers or Data Analysts)
