ROLE:

The Regional Director of People, Americas, will lead the Americas and LATAM regions to plan, deliver, and implement our global solutions, frameworks, and initiatives across the region, balancing global consistency and local relevance. This role will act as the point of escalation for employee relations issues and will take the lead in these issues in sensitive situations.

Reporting to the Global Head of People, IFS & Regional Head of People, Americas, the Director will be based in New York and will lead a team of regional people business partners across the Americas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage our regional people business partners across the Americas.
  • Support the PBP team in managing ER issues. Act as an escalation point for complex cases/issues, providing advice, interpretation and guidance on people policies, practices and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, local workforce laws and regulations. Lead on HR business continuity planning and manage people risk in the region.
  • Oversee annual cyclical activities in the country (e.g., talent reviews, year-end, employee engagement), aligned to global frameworks and the needs of the business. Ensure initiatives are communicated, understood, and implemented consistently across the business within the country.
  • Shape and drive the execution of the regional People plan and priorities, aligned to the overall Kroll people strategy, providing strategic direction and leadership for delivery of hire-to-retire lifecycle administration and services.
  • Drive the strategic roadmap for process excellence, optimization, and simplification.
  • Lead all Regional HR initiatives to streamline policies and processes across the business with an eye towards the Americas. Ensure processes are documented, simple to follow and aid in easy decision making and process alignment.
  • Partner closely with the business to ensure alignment on proposed processes, working through change management, training, and education to ensure new ways or working are adopted and implemented.
  • Provide leadership support for the implementation of new technology and business process optimization and automation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to operate in a large global organization (~6000) and develop strong senior level relationships. Demonstrates ability to build credibility and trust through functional expertise and customer-centric approach.
  • Able to drive transformative change and lead through influence with resilience and humility.
  • Displays a strong commercial acumen and ability to drive the business transformation agenda by informing management decisions that contemplate both financial metrics and employee engagement.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to the business.
  • Demonstrates strong brand stewardship by displaying good judgement and understanding how decisions can impact Kroll’s reputation.
  • Strong ability to spot talent and is able to identify what talent levers to pull to yield the most business value.
  • Thinks holistically about the organization and adopts a broad range of perspectives to drive value through organizational development and design.
  • Able to look beyond existing methodologies and ways of working to define and resolve complex problems.
  • Track record of managing programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies to achieve a business outcome. Able to develop plans and deliver results in fast-changing businesses and/or regulatory environments as part of a holistic journey.
  • Effective communicator who can influence across levels (early to executive), as well as cultural boundaries.
  • Degree or equivalent and relevant HR experience (minimum 15 years).
