Scope of Responsibility:

As our Payroll & Human Resources Administrator, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring accuracy and compliance in our payroll processes and HR policies. Your responsibilities will include payroll processing, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records. You'll serve as a trusted resource for employees and management alike, ensuring consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of human resource management experience
  • Understanding of employment law, payroll administration, and employee relations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in payroll/HRIS systems and other relevant software
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce error-free work
  • Strong communication skills with a supportive and collaborative approach
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle payroll and HR issues with patience and consistency

Tasks & Duties:

Payroll:

  • Process and maintain hourly and salary payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Partner with department heads to maintain timekeeping systems and best practices
  • Verify payroll data, record deductions, and handle special payroll functions
  • Reconcile payroll and enter data into QuickBooks
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations
  • Address employee compensation concerns and produce reports as needed

People Management:

  • Onboard new employees and provide benefits orientation
  • Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with documentation requirements
  • Offboard employees and manage absences and leave entitlements
  • Coordinate reviews and updates of HR policies and procedures

Recruiting:

  • Assist with the recruiting lifecycle across a variety of warehouse open roles, helping hiring managers find, hire, and interview quality candidates
  • Remain active with job boards, social networks, and applicable recruiting platforms to assist in finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and necessary announcements

Human Resources:

  • Direct employee benefits orientation and enrollment
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee issues and inquiries
  • Manage relationships with HR vendors and suppliers
  • Keep leadership informed of changes to HR programs and rates
  • Research and prepare reports on HR-related topics

Legal Documents, Contracts, and Leases Administration:

  • Organize and maintain legal documents, contracts, and leases
  • Ensure compliance with legal and government requirements
  • Manage documentation for both internal and external contracts

Additional Assignments:

  • Complete regular and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required
