About The Function

Summary Our manufacturing client, with over 75 years in industry, desires a hands-on Chief Financial Officer responsible for all accounting, financial planning, and administrative matters. CFO duties include financial statement preparation, budgeting, cash management, and ad hoc reporting.

The CFO will report to the CEO and will also work closely with other executive team members including the VP Operations, VP Engineering/Quality Assurance, VP Manufacturing, and VP Sales. Mentoring a staff of four employees in accounting/finance areas of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, and purchasing is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Coordinate year-end review of financial statements with independent auditors
• Prepare annual budgets
• Manage and control cash and use of funds available daily
• Maintain banking relationships including financial requests, covenant compliance, etc.
• Acquire and approve insurance coverage for minimizing risk, review bids/costs
• Provide manufacturing and sales with support information as available
• Other duties as assigned by the CEO

Job Requirements

• Significant working experience in a financial/accounting leadership role with a Manufacturing company
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting preferred
• CPA and/or MBA a plus
• IQMS software experience desired
• Willing to participate in executive decisions but also be extremely hands-on
• Proven track record of excellent interpersonal and leadership/management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet required deadlines
• In Philadelphia office 5 days a week
